OUR VISION
The Cameroon Youths for Jesus (CYJ) is an interdenominational Christian Youth ministry. CYJ has as a twofold vision to "Proclaim the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to mobilize youths for Christian service."
The Ministry emerged from an earnest longing and passionate commitment to preach the gospel and to ignite in youths a passion for souls and the zeal to serve God.
As a social dimension to our goal, we aim at getting youths free from vices such as drug abuse, alcoholism, vandalism, immorality and help them grow and become useful citizens ready to participate in nation building.
SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATIONS
1 John 2:14: "..I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one"
Joel 2:28: "And afterward,I will pour out my Spirit on all people.Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions"
CYJ is an arm of the church focused on evangelism and discipleship especially with youths. We consider ourself a movement of Christian youths engaged in proclaiming the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and mobilizing other youths for Christian service.
OUR STORY
CYJ saw the light of day on the 18 May 1991. CYJ was founded by Br. Victor WACHAM MBARIKA with the collaboration and assistance of Br. Julius NJOME ESUNGE (By then secondary school students). The Ministry emerged from an earnest longing and passionate commitment to preach the gospel and to ignite in youths a passion for souls and the zeal to serve God. CYJ has grown from a National movement to one with International impact.
From its humble beginnings among secondary school students with a burning zeal for evangelism, the Cameroon Youths for Jesus (CYJ) has grown into the leading interdenominational Christian movement in Cameroon taking the message of the cross from north to south, east to west.CYJ has Branches and Evangelistic Centers in 9 out of the 10 Regions of Cameroon.
CYJ held its maiden International Youth Conference dubbed "A Chosen Generation" on from the 21st - 27th of December 2002 at Nkolbison in the outskirts of Yaounde, the capital city of Cameroon. Yaounde also played host to the maiden National Conference on Evangelism which held from the 2nd - 7th of August 2004.

PARTNERS
We strongly believe the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ transcends denominational barriers, and demands the efforts of Christian from diverse background with a heart for God.
CYJ provides diverse avenues of partnership in the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Prominent among the various avenues of partnership is the College of Patrons and Sponsors.
In each locality, a College of Patrons/Sponsors (COPAS) is set up. This college assists in the funding and smooth running of CYJ activities. The ministry reports its work during these meetings where necessary counsel may be provided by the patrons/sponsors.
Patrons play an active role in the day to day existence of the ministry. They ensure that the ministry remains true to her goals through prayer, counsel and encouragement.Sponsors are more involved in the funding of the ministry
The CYJ Newsletter “IMPACT” furnishes local churches, CYJ patrons and sponsors (as well as other persons and organisations), with a regular report on the ministry’s activities, plans and projects.
The word “collaboration” characterizes CYJ’s relationship with local churches since they are responsible for the upkeep of both CYJ members and the fruits of the ministry’s activities. Our desire is to work in partnership with Youth Fellowships and Christian ministries.
CYJ currentky partners with national and international partners like: Evangelism Explosion, Campus Crusade for Christ International, Mission Aid Fellowship in Cameroon, Friendx of Africa USA, Hope Outreach International Ministries USA,Woodlawn Baptist Church USA
